Ciężki pożar na Karczunku

W dniu 9 sierpnia o godzinie 13:52 nasza jednostka otrzymała wezwanie do pożaru lasu w miejscowości Karczunek za Starym Zambrzykowem.

Po dojechaniu na miejsce, dowódca stwierdził, że bedą potrzebna znaczne siły i środki, przede wszystkim woda.

Na miejscu działała już jednostka OSP Stary Zambrzyków.

W początkowej fazie, pożar bardzo szybko się rozprzestrzeniał w głąb zagajnika, więc strażacy skupili się na opanowaniu ognia a następnie przelewaniu po kolei pogorzeliska.

Akcję utrudniał bardzo słaby początkowo dostęp do wody.

Dopiero po ok godzinie akcji postawiono, na oddalonym o niemal kilometr stawie, pompę pływającą Niagara, co przyśpieszyło działania, które i tak trwały ponad 3 godziny.

W akcji gaśniczej pomagało mieszkające opodal społeczeństwo. 

Spaleniu uległo ok 0,5ha poszycia leśnego, traw i świeżo skoszonego zboża.
